Piston “r0jsk” should not chime unless a door is open at the time Switch 2 changes to on.
Just curious, did you change Switch 2 to a Simulated Switch yet?

I did.
Opened door. Chime.
I paused all my pistons.
Opened door. Chime.
I unplugged my SmartThings Hub and took out the batteries.
Opened door. Chime.
I rebooted my Envisalink3 alarm connect.
Opened door. Chime.
Good God what have I done…
Just for kicks, can you pause this piston and test opening your door?
Beyond that, I’d need to see your logs set to FULL for one event
Can’t sleep. Trying to think… and I know what I did.
That “chime” command isn’t telling my alarm system to make a noise… No, that Chime command tells my alarm system to notify me with a chime every time a door is opened - a notification/intrusion thing.
LOL and Sigh.
I can just resend a disarm command for what I want.
LOL. Been there… Done that.
I now try to keep all of my programming logic here in webCoRE to make troubleshooting much easier.
Thanks for your patience, and all your help. LOL I put in the “stop the darn chime” command and it’s not chiming anymore. Jeez. I’m just glad I thought of it before I started doing anything desperate!
Do you have any other type of Automations or Scenes running? Also check the device itself in the SmartThings app. I’m not sure about keypads, but my button has an option in the device driver itself to set actions for pressed, double pressed, and held. Your chimer might be hiding there.
Oh, no, read my last post - I was an idiot - the CHIME command does NOT make my alarm panel chime. It instead sets my alarm panel to chime each time a door is opened!
LOL My one complaint - with a virtual switch, Google replies “Ok, turning on Bedtime.” With the simulated switch, Google replies: “Ok, turning on the simulated switch Bedtime”. I can live with it.
Only if the device is created under Google. It’s a SmartThings name, so I don’t think I can. I’ll look, though!
Meanwhile - all the pistons I created and paused, then rebooted SmartThings hub, then resumed… Aren’t working. This all should NOT be this difficult! Oh well, it keeps me off the street…
