Vacation light help

#42

nice… looks like you have “KEYPAD 6” as your light, ill be using 3 lights, im thinking this should still work?

is there anyway to integrate PUSH NOTIFICATION? where it will let me know which light is on? since im using 3 lights to randomly turn on?

i used to use the smartapp “Vacation Lighting Director” and it was an epic failure. this time around, with this piston, my way of checking that its working like its supposed to is by any form of push notification.

thanks.

I have some GE Smart Switches and that’s usually how they get changed when I make a “Green snapshot”. But you could put as many lights on that line as you like and they would ALL come on. Now if you want to randomly determine which light comes on…that’s a different story.

Just add that in either directly before or after the Turn on command (like 32).

Again thought, this piston would turn on ALL the lights that are on the line where “Keypad 6” is in the snapshot above. If you’re looking to randomly pick one light of X and turn it on…well, that’s not what this thing does. A piston could be made to do that…but that would be a bit more involved.

The incorrect display of the evaluation of duration expressions should be fixed in today’s 0.2.102 update.
