2 Hubs on 1 location

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
I want to control devices connected to 2nd hub

2) What is the expected behaviour?
I would like to authorize those devices so they can be used in other pistons

3) What is happening/not happening?
I don’t see the devices when I go into authorize newly added devices. They are in smartthings under the same location.

4) Post a Green Snapshot of the pistonimage
(UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE HERE)

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS AND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO (PUT YOUR INFO HERE)FORMAT THEM CORRECTLY)

#2

I’ve just added a second hub to my existing location. I have added some devices to this 2nd hub so now I want to bring those devices into webcore so I can add them to some existing pistons (arrival, departure, etc…). I have gone into automation but dont see where I can add those devices.

Probably worth mentioning that the new hub and devices only show up in the new app, they are not available on the classic app. I assume this is part of the problem. Do I have any options?

Unfortunately, one hub cannot directly control another hub.

Logistics:

  • Devices can only be assigned to a single hub (one master)
  • A hub can only see & control devices on the same hub

but…
A hub can send a command to another hub if they both use webCoRE.

It is kind of a pain, but you can copy the “External URL” of a piston on one hub,
temp
and “Make a web request” to that URL from the other hub.

Pro Tip:
Normally, the receiving piston should have no Triggers at all. Once the piston is saved, you should see this up top:
