Add Devices to webCoRE - post install

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
I need to add devices to be “enrolled” and controllable from webCoRE. I know at some point during the install I selected devices, but for the LIFE of me I can’t figure out how to add devices now. What am I missing?

You have to go back into the ST app and select them.

ST app > Automation > SmartApps > webCoRE > Settings > Available devices and contacts > Available devices

Yeah…I can see what you might have forgot that…

#3

Thanks!!! I swear I looked there…yet, there it was.

#4

Maybe it’s just like those USB cables…

#5

Would be nice if webcore could set up a sync device capability. @ady624 wink wink

#6

WebCoRE cannot automatically give itself permission to see new devices… it’s a ST security thing sndboutside if @ady624’s controll.

The only app able to do that is the Alexa integration… Amazon must have been given a special API.

#7

Google Home does this too. Besides you would think Samsung would be Gracious to ady624 since the used him to help with their presence sensor

#8

He built his own presence sensor… they didn’t use him for theirs (yet).

@ady624 is not a company, and the source code for webCoRE is in the public domain. ST couldn’t give him the keys that easily, as much I would like them to.

Thank you for this post, I forgot all about this part. Drove me crazy for 3 hours, still I found this post.

Smart app.

I have read that I must add devices but I click on CORE then settings but Cant see anywhere to add devices

Please help

#11

Are you clicking on CoRE or webCoRE?

In webCoRE, under settings, you’ll see ‘available devices and contacts’

#12

I followed the instructins to install webcore but in applications I can only see core

#13

guess I followed the wrong instructions shoudl I remove and install webcore instead

Sorted Up and running thanks I had installed core by mistake

I have both installed is that BAD?

#14

LOL

You can keep both installed… they work independently from each other.

#15

I have seen mentions of people using Sonos as an ‘actuator’ , but although my Sonos devices are showing in ST, but under Available devices>Which actuators as above, it is displaying ‘all selected’ but not including Sonos in the list.

What am I missing?

Go to the other section —> select devices by capability > capability group 2 > which refreshable devices
