Any chromebook users

Impulse buy… saw one on slickdeals for $187 shipped. I figured it’s a good time to replace my 10" asus netbook I got 2 back fridays ago. I use teamviewer to connect to another computer when I need some more processing power anyways.

You happy? I might get one to code pistons on the couch. iPad isn’t working as smoothly as I’d want and laptop usually stays at work.

Much much better than the netbook I had before. I just had to get over the missing Delete key and Caps Lock. Other than that, I think it was well worth ~$190. Oh, I didn’t like that I had to sign in using my gmail password to get in the computer, I wish there was an alternate way… maybe there is, just have not researched it yet.

Honest question, why is that bugging you? I can easily figure pros but don’t really see the cons.

I have an Asus flipbook that I keep under the seat of the car. I grab it when I’m going to lunch by myself and want to read the news, check email, or fiddle with WC pistons. I’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s still going strong. Battery life is great and at $200, I’d be okay if I dropped it or it got stolen.

I had to change the password to something I can actually remember :rofl:

#7

And that’s a pros or a cons? lol :face_with_raised_eyebrow::cowboy_hat_face:

#8

Con for me as I used a password manager for that stuff. Getting old you know :slight_smile:

#9

Yeah I kinda have the same problem.

Solved it by using password as password. No problem ever since :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :clown_face:

I think I’m going to have to return this unit. I like it but the teamviewer app for chromeos is not mature yet. I do a lot of connecting to remote PCs and doing minor things on the remote computer brings me up random windows probably as a result of some weird key combinations I’m triggering.

It’s too bad, I really like the hardware and responsiveness of the computer. I might have to look at a transformer or something similar.

Edit: I’m going to try and see if I can install the teamviewer android apk :slight_smile:

Good idea, they’re might even be custom apk you could side load. Sometime, community does a better job than official devs. I’m looking at you @ady624 :slight_smile:
