Arlo Pro 2 and webcore

#1

I would like to trigger all my Arlo Pro to record video through motion. I am unable to find the option to do so. I was able to trigger record video on the Skybell but Arlo seems to be missing that option.

I use the first-gen Arlo Pro’s… I simply use webcore to turn on/off the cameras. The alert/record on motion is configured in the Arlo app.

But if camera is OFF how will it detect motion? i use modes so that only exterior cameras are activated when I am home and all cameras when I am away.

The camera won’t detect motion if it’s off. I guess it just depends on how you want to use it. For me, I only want all cameras active (thereby detecting motion and alerting) when nobody is home. You could write a piston to just turn off the interior cameras when home and keep the exterior cameras on (and armed for motion)… Is that what you’re trying to accomplish?

Yes. But I want the exterior cameras ON always. But my initial question was how do I activate video recording in camera 1 when camera 2 is detecting motion. Arlo in webcore doesn’t seem to have recordvideo() option like my Skybell.
