Automatic Curtains and locks

Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone has automated their curtains and door locks.
I’m looking for a cheap way to do this, maybe use a ESP8266 for it.
Let me know how you guys did it!

So you are saying you want to automate “dumb” door locks and curtains?

Yes pretty much. I’ve seen some cheap locks that open and close with a 5V signal. Couldn’t find anything cheap for the curtains though.
