Controlling Harmony Activity through Webcore On/Off

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
I would like to be able to use webcore to do the following:
If motion stays inactive for 1 hour and activity “Watch Roku” is on then turn it off

2) What is the expected behavior?
to turn off the tv if the wife leaves it on and has not been in said room for a period of 1 hour

3) What is happening/not happening?
I dont see a way to add this to webcore from the list of available contacts

4) Post a Green Snapshot of the pistonimage
N/A

5) Attach any logs (From ST IDE and by turning logging level to Full)
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE BETWEEN THE MARKS THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS SND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO FORMAT THEM)

Have you added Harmony to ST and added its activities to webCoRE as actuators?

Once you do that, you should see “Watch Roku [Harmony Activity]” listed in your physical device list. It’ll have a “switch” you can use to monitor whether it is On or Off, and change to Off if you don’t detect motion for an hour.

As well as integrating harmony correctly (getting the activity awitxhes to apppear I the ‘things’ list)… don’t forget to go into the webCoRE smartapp (via the ST app) and add the new activity devices, otherwise webCoRE won’t be able to see them.

#4

I see the various “activities” showing up underneath smartthings app > things > corresponding room

when i go to smarthings > smartapps > webcore > available sensor/contacts

I do not see them listed there, am i doing something wrong?

#5

It will be under actuators, not sensors.

#6

Thank you!

#7

Why should the activities be actuators?

What should the hubs or AVR be?

#8

It’s just terminology… they appear as switches (actuators) in the ST app… not sensors… there are no ‘activity’ attributes in ST land.
