Hopefully I will be able to bypass using the template for this issue.
My problem is that I created a piston and it worked, but not the way I wanted it to. So I deleted it from Dashboard a week ago. Its gone. I can no longer see it. However, it still runs every time, every day. How do I make it stop?
Deleted piston still running
If you go into the IDE, click on the device that is being affected by the piston and then scroll down.
You will see the apps that are assigned to the device.
Your piston should be there. Click on it and delete.
BE CAREFUL that you click on the piston and not the webCoRE app as you don’t want to delete the webCoRE instance as you will lose everything.
DO NOT CLICK ON THIS AND DELETE IT.
Is there a recommended method for deleting pistons? I think most of us assume that deleting it from the dashboard is sufficient, given that it’s an option, and that having to go into the IDE is the exception and not the rule.
Thank you. However, I do not see the app in question listed. I do see 1 webcore app that works and that is not the app that I want to stop. And I see the Webcore Storage one that you said not to delete. There are no other webcore apps listed.
If you can predict when the event happens you could try opening live logging just before the event and see what appears in live logging for the device.
You could also go into the app on your phone and go into settings. There you can do a clean up and rebuild data cache. That might work.
