Engaging / Disengaging AutoLock on Schlage Touch Locks

#1

I would like to turn on and turn off the ‘auto lock’ function of the Schlage locks at certain times. I am using garyd9 DTH to control the locks in SmartThings

Have tried sending different parameters in the SetAutoLock command but does not work at gets an error

Does anyone have any idea how to send the off and on command to the lock?

I manage the auto-lock on mine from webcore so in theory it would make it easier to set up conditions within that piston to stop (turn off/on) auto-lock.

Same here, I use Schlage Touch locks and without any DTH.
If you share what you want, we can come up with a piston that does it…

This is the piston that I am developing . . . just trying to get the proper command to engage or disengage the auto lock function of the lock, after that I wanted to build on it. My ultimate end is a piston driven security system.

I am using the ‘setautoLock’ command, but I am unclear of the parameters to send. If that makes sense, I hope LOL

So in real world LOL
you want lock to be locked automatically after door is shut… am I correct? (I haven’t used factory default commands what so ever, I don’t even know what they are. That’s why I’m asking)
Note : If you posted a piston picture we can’t see it FYI

No not exactly. The Schlage locks have a setting called autolock, if engaged the lock will ‘autolock’ after 30 seconds of unlocking. This is conveinent for people that forget to the lock the doors after going through them. For instance, I come home, unlock the front door and enter. The lock is unlocked but 30 seconds later the lock will lock itself securing the house. The issue comes into play on the weekends with my side porch which, on the weekends, is high traffic. I would like to send a command to the lock to disengage this feature say during daylight hours when the traffic is high but return to automatically locking the doors at the times the traffic isn’t so high.

I hope I explained it properly. My first post here, forgive me.

No need to feel sorry, you are very kind… Sometimes understanding the goal can be difficult in a forum that’s all:))))

Here is the piston have. Written by my friend @WCmore when he was helping me with my house.
It does what you want but not in a way you want it…

If the door is closed and left unlocked for 3 minutes (you can change that) it locks it self.

and have another piston that delays the autolock piston for 60 minutes (maybe maid is here, or a worker getting in and out etc)
