Entry notification with voice and/or chime alert

#1

This piston allows voice and chime alerts to be turned on/off and will push an SMS text message to your phone, detailing the sensor name, state, and time of the event.

Pushing the voice alert takes roughly twice as long as triggering the Aoetec doorbell, which actually works well as, in the current configuration, the voice alert is triggered first, but the chime alert sounds first, followed quickly by the voice alert.

When this piston determines that one of multiple contact sensors has opened, it will…
1: determine if the virtual switch for voice alerts is on. If on…
a. The volume on the wireless speaker (Samsun R1) is set to 100%
b. TTS is pushed, announcing the name of the sensor that has opened.
c. The speaker volume resumes to its prior setting
d. Push SMS message with sensor name, status, and event time.
2. determine if the virtual switch for chime alerts is on. If on…
a. sends the instruction to sound the desired tone to the (Aeotec) doorbell.

When the piston determines that one of multiple contact sensors has closed, it will…

  1. Push SMS message with sensor name, status, and event time.

Hey
Quick question on this example…

  1. Do you specify switch 2 (for voice as virtual?) - im not sure I understand the concept here. For my example I would want to say if a contact opens sent this sms and speak text on this speaker (no switch is involved).
  2. For SMS notifications do you have the number in format like this (for example) +4478878237465

Do you get delays on the Samsung R1 speaker?
