Garage Door Timer

#1

I am new to webcore.

I used to have the app, which stopped working late last year. Finally started troubleshooting and realized that the way to do this was to delete CORE and go to webCORE. I only had a few pistons and didn’t back them up. When I realized that I could have backed them up, I figured I would just recreate them in the webCORE.

Unfortunately, I can’t figure them out. I am trying to set a garage door timer, but I cannot get it to go. Even if I test it nothing happens. This may have something to do with the one device–the garage door opener–being an integrated sensor (sees whether open or closed) and actuator (can activate an open or close command)?

I know it can be done because it was working in CORE with no fuss until it stopped. Just can’t figure it out in webCORE.

Instead of $status use contact

Contact Sensor 6’s contact stays open for 15 minutes

Hmm. There’s something else going on here. My dashboard is totally grayed out. I can’t actually “see” the status or interact with any devices from the webcore.co dashboard.

Nevermind. I see tiles are in beta. Still have the issue where nothing is happening with this piston. Even if I test or set the timer to 1 minute, the door won’t close and I won’t get a notification.

Type of garage door controller? You may want to attach logs.

It’s a Linear GD00Z garage door controller.

Here’s a log:

The TEST button won’t do anything with this piston.
You actually have to open the garage for 15 minutes to see the results.

(or what I do during testing is lower the 15 min to something like 2 min. You can always put it back to 15 once you are happy with the results)

D’oh. Okay, will check it out. Thanks!
