Getting the hang of this, still getting stuck on variables

#21

In edit mode, click on the WITH.
Scroll down and click on the cog.
Set TCP (Task Cancellation Policy) to never.
You may have to rename the variable now as it may be stuck on true.
I forgot to do the TCP originally and did amend my post.
You could re-import it again. Delete the one you have first though.

OK removed original, imported new one and changed Task Cancellation Policy as told. Also changed the variable. Thanks, I think it works. I am testing again.

Tested this one and it definitely works for me.
I have changed it to speak text and restore.
In your picture TCP is not set to never.
Try again by importing this and see if it works.
Btw I’m using Sonos speakers not Samsung.

OK it worked once, then stopped. I am waiting five minutes as it might have been in the waiting time. I also changed “notification” to PUSH. Also it says TCP is never in screenshot.

#25

Yes. I noticed I’d selected the wrong notification. Did change it on my amended version above.

Thank you for the help, it seems to work now. I will just have to check the delay later when someone gets home. I am on one foot as I broke it a month ago, and had surgery. Thank you both for the suggestion to use contact closed. I guess I am not in the logical mode of thinking. I get overwhelmed, and just can’t grasp this method of thinking. What truly confuses me is the boolean and variables that are undefined. I hope with time it would be more logical. This script we worked on I will post, or you can as it can be very useful to others. Thanks again.

Great. Glad it’s working.
