Help...I cant find what webcore piston is running

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
When I open my front door I immediately get Alexa saying “Please close the front door”. I HAVE a piston for front door but its much more involved and when it announces, it says something different, I have scanned ALL active pistons and I cannot see where I call Echo Speak with that phrase.

  1. Is there a way to search text in pistons (active and paused)?
  2. Is there any dashboard, etc that would say what pistons just ran
  3. Any ideas how to find ?

2) What is the expected behaviour?
(PUT YOUR INFO HERE)

3) What is happening/not happening?
some piston I’m unaware of is running, based on my front door

**4) Post a Green Snapshot of the piston![image|45x37]

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS AND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO FORMAT THEM CORRECTLY)

Go to the SmartThings IDE, My Devices, and click on your front door contact (Contact Sensor 4 ?) and look to see which pistons use it (In Use By).

#3

You can also go to:
IDE > My Devices > Contact Sensor 4 > List Events

This pulls up a table showing the most recent events at the top.
The far right column typically shows us which piston(s) have been triggered.

Thanks for the responses… it appears to only be used by 1 piston (the one I showed)image

and the events don’t seem to mention pistons (not sure if i did something wrong)

so I’m still puzzled

Did you set up something in the Alexa app?

MY APOLOGIES…
turns out i created a routine in the alexa app … as i was playing with it in the event that Echo Speak goes away.
Thanks for the previous replies and sorry to bother you.
