Help with cast-web-api options please

I’ve not yet started the design, I more need help understanding options for this one.

I have sucessfully installed Cast-Web-Api, and I have 9 Google devices.

I can design a piston to have any of my Google Devices speak what I type using “speak”.

But I noticed ALL THE OPTIONS I have other than “speak”.

Notably - what’s the difference between “Speak” and “Speak text”??

“Speak text and restore” and “Speak text and resume”?

There are just a LOT of options there, and i want to be able to take advantage of them! Any help is, of course, greatly appreciated!

All those commands are all the commands for all known devices.
(IE: they won’t all work with every device)

The easiest way to determine which works best for your particular device, is to make a single line piston, plug in a command, and hit Test.

So create a new piston and just do an action? I like it!

Yes. No triggers or anything… Once you save it, you should see this up top:

Pressing Test will (attempt to) execute that command.

This is a great method to learn the real capabilities of any new device or handler.
