Just thought I’d post this simple piston for controlling my hot water.
The way my heating system works is the system will always heat the water first. When the water is up to temperature then the heating diverts from the hot water to the radiators.
This piston turns the hot water heating on constant between 6am and 8am. (Morning showers).
from 8am onwards till 10pm it will heat for 30 mins, turn off for 30 mins etc.
(The reason for this is if the heating is on, I don’t want it focusing on the hot water if we are using a lot of it. I want to keep warm as well.)
If our presence is away it will turn the hot water heating off.
I have configured a virtual switch (switch 10) that will overide all settings and put the hot water on constant heat. This is for when we are away for a period of time and can turn the hot water heating on before we get home so we have hot water ready for when we return. It also sends a reminder every 30 mins to let us now that hot water is on constant heat.

Gas. Its a Tado system whose presence detecting has become very flaky after a recent Tado app update. (Heard that before haven’t we. :))!!!

Actually, quite a decent solution for water heating, works pretty well and simple keeps water hot!
