How to group devices together then use the group name instead of individual devices

Within my house, I seem to repeatedly call the same groups of lights over and over in various pistons.

With Light a, Light b, …etc

When I add or change a light, I have to edit loads of pistons manual.

Maybe I am missing something, but is there a way in Webcore to give a name to a set of Devices so I can just edit the set and it will automatically work in all my pistons.

I use WebCore exclusively for my automation and don’t really want to set up stuff directly in the smartthings app or anywhere else if possible.

You need to use variables for this.

let me give you an example from my pistons…

and if you want them outside of the piston but still in webcore, use GLOBAL VARIABLES…

Once I discovered variables myself I redid all my pistons with them and never looked back!

same here… but not only that, I’m so dying to scratch everything (uninstall the bulbs, erase switches etc) and start all over again… fresh…
