Installed webcore but unable to build blank piston

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
(Ive installed webcore but when i go to the grey build a blank piston it only goes as far as the author step and wheni click the blue create button it does nothing. It doesnt load, think,go to new page or anything it just clicks and does nothing)

2) What is the expected behavior?
(To move to step 4 where i build the piston)

3) What is happening/not happening?
(I use a galaxy s9+ and have tried the dashboard on all three browsers and my home laptop does the same thing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now. )

5) Attach any logs (From ST IDE and by turning logging level to Full)
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE BETWEEN THE MARKS THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS SND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO FORMAT THEM)

Did you publish all 4 Smartapps that you installed?

#3

Did you enable Oauth?

#5

No, we’re talking about in the ST app, not in WebCoRE.

#6

It does look like you still have two instances of webCoRE installed (with the exact same name).

Have you tried switching to the other instance and then trying to create a piston?

I suspect one instance was installed correctly, and the other was not.

#7

Inside the smartthings app i installed under my apps and configured all my devices. I dont know what you mean by publishing in ST app. I published the code in the ide and set the value to true and ues the oath is enabled. The app itself appears to be installed just fine but it wont proceed to step 4 when building piston.

#8

When i click the other instance it gives an error. It it wss the same the other day when that wasnt there.

#9

In the classic app, go to Automation : SmartApps. See how many instances of WebCORE you see. It might be easier to delete them and start over. Delete them, go to Marketplace : SmartApps and open WebCORE and create a new instance. Then register a new browser from your new instance in Automation: SmartApps and try to create a new piston.

Ive got one. Ive deleted the entire app 3 times and followed all directions. I have webcore it just wont pr

oceed to let me build. Do i have to publish all 4 or just the one, ive tried both.

sorry I did not catch it earlier but I see where your problem is. You installed the same webcore app 4 times in IDE. Here is the image you attached earlier that shows this…

there are 4 separate apps that need to be installed. here is what they should look like…

You should have the webcore app (with Oauth set to true), webcore dashboard, webcore piston and webcore storage. all 4 should be published. install all 4 and publish before setting Oauth on the first one

unless your image is truncating the displayed name, in which case I am completely wrong

You could always try using the community installer app…
