Intelligent Autolock for Smartlock

#1

1) Give a description of the problem

I would like to create a robust auto locking piston for a smart lock on a garden facing door.
I have 2 motion sensors (cameras) in the garden and would like to only have the door locked when no-one is in the garden for atleast 5 minutes.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
the door stays unlocked if the mode is ‘HOME’, and family members are in the garden, even if the door is closed - preventing accidental lock outs.

3) What is happening/not happening?
either the piston does not fire at all, or the door locks right after it unlocks.

4) Post a Green Snapshot of the pistonimage

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
N/A I just need help in designing the piston.

I know this is a bad piston btw! the issue I see is that the trigger ‘door closes’ will create a motion event cancelling the action.

basically I want the timer of 5 minutes to reset everytime a motion event is detected, with the lock only locking when the full 5 minutes is up and the door has remained closed also.

im sure the answer is very simple.

Ive had another shot at this.

Not sure about your motion sensor’s DTH in your restriction section, but do they not normally have a ‘motion’ response? I have mine set as ‘motion stays inactive’…

In addition, the wait segment with your Bifold Doors is generally set with a TCP (Task Cancellation Policy) on the ‘With’…

Now this is not saying that your piston WON’T run, but without logs, it is hard to tell…
