I have used CoRE itself with some success. I have noticed Rules created within CoRe are now showing in WebCoRe dashboard. What am I missing? I would love to start using WebCoRE, but I have no idea where to start.
Is there a getting started wicky?
They don’t import, you need to recreate them… unless that feature was added recently but it wasn’t in 2-3 months ago.
There is no migration tool… webCoRE is based on such different architecture that it would be almost impossible.
@Robin is right. While there could be a way, it would be too time consuming and given the extended capabilities of webCoRE (more statement types) it would not use webCoRE efficiently. That and the latching piston type does not exist in webCoRE.
OK I was looking at the CoRE dashboard. Now I have a major problem, I went to WebCoRE Dashboard, authorized a browser, but it will not let me use my password. Any ideas?
User / password not active yet… you have to go to the mobile app, generate a code and then enter it in the register a browser page.
Btw, if I may add to my previous comment, I’ve been there not so long ago and I think the fact that pistons cannot be imported is a very good thing.
Having to recreate them again is a good way to get to know webcore and all the new features. I considered it a tutorial of some kind and learned a lot at the same time.
Happy “coding”!
Is the wiki working for everyone else? I get this:
Edit: Nevermind - it was just Chrome that wasn’t working (on my Mac). It appears it has something to do with uBlock Origin extension (content filter).
It actually is coding. A very high level programming language atop another high level language (groovy) atop another high level language (java)
You’re right! But you made it so accessible for us mortals that It’d be vain to say we’re coding
Completely agree, I expected a platform like webCoRE to be something that was a stock item on ST and was initially disappointed that I couldn’t do exactly what I wanted. Then i found WebCoRE, my hopes were granted and exceeded. Thanks to @ady624 for making it so easy to use and making us feel like we are “coding”
