I’ve done this with my washer, using the SmartThings Multipurpose Sensor attached to the side of the washer. I had to create separate pistons for each ‘cycle’ of the washer, and used in tandem with virtual switches (which are visible on my ActionTiles).
I had to play around with the timing of each ‘cycle’ to get it to work correctly, but now it’s great, and works every time.
The last one, “Wash Cycle 5 Reset” is a fail safe.
