Multiple Instances?

#1

With the original CoRE, I know it was encouraged to break up the pistons into separate instances, and I feel like something similar was encouraged with WebCoRE, but I haven’t since seen any discussion on it (or I just missed it). Is it necessary or better to do this with WebCoRE?

Semi related: Categorizing is really a lot more difficult than I expected - logically… Does this piston belong in the Living Room or Mood or… ? Separating instances makes that even more complicated as you have to go and be selective about what you want to add to the instance… I just want everything automatically available as soon as I create and/or add a piston/device etc… $1 million would be nice too…

No this was handled a few months back. No need to break up into different instances. The birth of the storage app solved this issue.

I don’t think it is critical to have multiple instances of webCoRE.
You can put your pistons into categories though.
Go into settings and you can add categories.
Then when you open a piston, before you edit it, you will see a categories drop that is available.
You can assign the piston there.

Yeah, I knew about the categories - though I still can’t think of how I should categorize things… but that’s my problem

Thanks guys - that answered my question.
