This is my second post, and it isn’t really related to the first one, it’s more of a getting to know you question about running multiple pistons, you see I am trying to build a watering system, in that watering system there is logic that if the “tank not empty” switch is true then the watering system will use the pump and tank, if its false it will use the main valve.
It is my expectation that to do this I would need to build multiple pistons and then have them reference each other (so to speak) but I cant for the life of me figure out how to create more than one piston. I can create it sure, but I can only create one, if I create a new one then it seems to delete the old one.
CoRE allows you to build multiple pistons, so I assumed (I know bad thing to do) that I should be able to do this in WebCoRE. Or do I need to setup multiple instances?
Multiple Pistons
It’s perfectly possible to produce a plethora of pistons punctually performing preset procedures periodically.
Thanks for the quick answer Mike and Robin. Much appreciated, but to expand a little if I may. Is it true that once you create a piston and you go back to the home screen you can’t re-edit it. I think I now have multiple pistons running and I don’t know how to go in and re edit them or delete them. I expected to see a list of pistons on the home screen, but I don’t see any and don’t know how to go back and edit them.
thanks
I suspect you have them hiding in a tiles category.
From the home page, go to settings > categories, and check that all categories shown have ‘details’ shown in the drop down list(s)
thanks, Robin. I knew there had to be away, you guys have done such a brilliant job with this tool, not being able to re-edit pitons seemed a little bit of a rookie mistake. thanks again for your help.
Take it you found your missing pistons in a tile category then?
