Need to count how many times a piston runs and report via SMS

1) Give a description of the problem
I would like the SMS that is sent to me to show how many times it has run that day.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
The last SMS message…i.e. “The Sand Filter Cleaning is Complete (1)” or (2) or etc…

3) What is happening/not happening?
I have tried looking at some similar topics but I cannot replicate or find one similar enough to copy. :frowning:

**4) Post a Green Snapshot of the piston!

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
No logs as this current piston runs fine now.

Just be aware that there is a strict daily limit on SMS messages.
(I believe SmartThings set this to 50)

Any SMS messages past the limit, will be lost forever.

Hi Robin, Thank you for your help.

I am kind of new at this and I am not entirely sure how to add this integer and the dailycounter to the piston. If you or someone is able to outline some of the steps that would be much appreciated.
