New to WebCore, need help on / auto off

1) Give a description of the problem
I have a door open sensor on my laundry door, if I’m open the door, the light in the garage turns on for 2min. (Via Smartthings, very easy) Enough time to grab a beer out of the garage fridge. Even I turn on the light with my Zwave switch, its going off after 2 min. But sometimes I need more time. I’m wondering if I can do a piston like:
If the door sensor is open - turn garage light on for x min (simple)
If the garage light switch turn on (after door sensor trigger) twice - or turn on off on - within 3sec, light stay on for ever.

Any idea? Thanks guys.

There are two examples in the first post:

  • smart bulb / dumb switch, and
  • dumb bulb / smart switch.

Make sure you start with the right one.

I use the dumb bulb-smart switch setup (actually two switches) in my garage but trigger the light with motion instead of a contact switch but basically what you are doing. Here the piston I use and the device handler for the GE smart switch that will give you additional controls such as double clicking the toggle for permanent on/off control vs timed on. The second smart switch controls the outside light with a single toggle and a double click makes the garage light stay on.
