Piston to logically tying 2 switches together (Kitchen ans Island)

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
Tying Kitchen Light switch to Island Switch

2) What is the expected behaviour?
when Kit or Island switch is on, both Kit & island are on. similar to OFF.

3) What is happening/not happening?
my piston seem to be in some cycle that trigger on and off loop.

**4) Post a Green Snapshot of the piston![image|45x37]

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS AND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO FORMAT THEM CORRECTLY)

Not sure what you’re trying to do with the OR here.

A simple piston would just say “If Switch 7 changes to On or Switch 8 changes to On, Then with Switch 7 and 8, turn on.” Vice versa for off. You’d have to add some more logic to prevent multiple On or Off commands, but for two switches, it’s not a lot.

Here’s a piston of mine for a single device with virtual switches for multiple names (my wife forgets). if one of the names is called by Alexa, it makes sure all the virtual switches are at the same setting.
