Piston trigger on when it should not

i have 2 hue bulbs set in the bathroom to turn on at 30% 1hr before sunset and turn off 1hr past sunrise i also have a motion sensor that when triggered the light level to 100% for 20 mins this all works perfect in theses times but for some reason i am getting the lights going on at 30% outside of theses time and i think it relates to the motion sensor triggering it but not every time

this is the first piston i have done so not sure its 100% correct but seems fine to me due to it working at the set times

With your current wording, if you use the bathroom in the daytime, no light comes on… but 20 minutes later, they turn on at 30% due to line 55. You can resolve this by adding another condition on this block. (similar to line 40)

The only thing I might change is the times for your newest condition. (line 51)
Time is between 1h 20m to sunset and 40m past sunrise

This should resolve events that happen near the change-over times

will give that a try is it worth changing the active motion time to 1h 20m before and 40m after like the inactive?

I would keep line 40 the way it is.

The offset I am recommending for line 51 is so the two times are lined up.
(line 51 plus 20 minutes equals line 40)
