1) Give a description of the problem
So I bought a couple of Samsung R7 speakers a few years ago which are now stashed in different locations throughout the house, they aren’t used for anything but announcements. I’m trying to get them to simply play a chime on status change for door sensors. I don’t really want it to do a bunch of TTS primarily because I have kids and that really gets annoying. Speaker companion will do it but I would think I’d have more control over what/how things are done in Core. Specifically playing a chime on more than one speaker.
I’m sure this has been discussed a lot but I’m just having a hard time finding an exact match to what I’m trying to do.
2) What is the expected behavior?
Play chime on samsung speaker when a contact sensor changes state. Ideally, it would be different chime for each sensor that plays on multiple speakers.
3) What is happening/not happening?
I can’t seem to figure out where a) put the chime code in b) get the chime. It seems a little silly to pull a chime from a web address, not to mention the delay in doing it that way.
