Samsung Powerbot schedule when we leave, disable motion cameras?

#1

Im completely new to webCoRE but have had CoRE since its inception. My first attempt at a piston within webCoRE is to enable my Samsung Powerbot vacuum to begin cleaning when we leave for the day, disabling motion cameras (Blink) and once it stops to recharge, re-enable the cameras motion sensors. Once it begins after the recharge, disable the cameras again (rinse repeat) until its complete with the cleaning.

Has anyone done anything like this? If so, can you assist, or recommend a better way of doing this?

I’m thinking of getting a Powerbot so I’m intrested in this. Does ST know the powerbot is running or charging?

It does, with the Samsung smart home app integration.

Actually, Yes. It provides notifications in the app when it has to charge and has docked itself.
This is what you’ll get.
“Robot Vacuum, Charging for cleaning resumption”

There are several variables that can tell you when it starts, stops for cleaning, and is “finished” cleaning.

I just built a piston but not sure if it’ll work properly, so I posted it in the ST forum for @ady624 to review and let me know where I screwed up. Tomorrow morning will let me know whether it fires or not.

Are you using your cameras in Smart home monitor?

Edit: if so I would add a new mode (‘vacuuming’ or something like that) then create a ‘Custom’ profile in SHM that only monitors the cameras during the modes your away and not vacuuming. Using webcore I would make a piston that changes the mode between ‘vaccuming’ and ‘away’ whether the powerbot is active or not.

This isn’t the only way just one of the simplest ones I thought of, and keeps SHM in charge of activating your alarm so it’s not based in the cloud.

Sorry this is so late. The cameras actually dont pick up the robot while it roams the house. The only thing that does is an Iris motion sensor I have in the kitchen. Ive learned to ignore the kitchen motion sensor alert for now. I may modify it and remove it from SHM, or create a mode in SHM like you suggested, omitting the kitchen motion sensor.

Thanks for the tip!
