Sengled Element Touch - What's with the additional device settings in WebCoRE?

#1

I just hooked up a Sengled Element Touch bulb to my SmartThings hub and I’m pretty happy with it. Does the trick for a good price. One question, though, for anyone who has one…

When I paired it with the hub and then added it to my WebCoRE setup, in addition to adding it as a dimmable light, it created additional entries for “power meter” and “sensor”. And when I added it to my Homebridge setup, it also included it an “outlet” device.

Has anyone else seen these additional entries with this bulb? If so, does anyone know what those could be used for in WebCoRE? I can’t find any docs that explain it.

i just bought a few of the classics to replace my bathroom lights … thought the sengled bulbs have capability to track power usage. the power meter and sensor could for that feature? have you checked what values those attributes show when the bulb is on?

EDIT: i would check myself if the bulbs were here  though the classics could be different though it calls out the same power tracking feature.

The best I can figure is that since the Element Touch adjusts the color temperature based on the dimmer level, it’s able to report back the current wattage. It’s the only bulb I have that uses the dimmer to control color temp and it’s also the only one that shows the current wattage in the dimmer control in the SmartThings app.
