Separating Sonos Grouped Speakers

#1

Regardless of what I use to send a command to Sonos speakers (ST, Webcore, Stringify, etc), I have the same issue: Let’s say that I have 4 Sonos speakers grouped together so they play music together. Now, let’s say a webcore piston sends the command is to say “Attention, the refrigerator door was left open” on the “Kitchen Sonos” (kitchen being one of the four that was grouped)… The refrigerator command will play on the group, even though Kitchen was specified. So my question is this: Is there a way to send a command to separate any groups?

I don’t believe so, and I use 4 Sonos speakers as part of my setup.

#3

How would you separate them via a command once grouped? I tried all I can think of.

#4

I don’t think this is possible via SmartThings/webCoRE.

There is an HTTP API I’ve looked at that includes some basic grouping functions (join/leave) but I haven’t had any time to see if it might be possible to somehow integrate this with WebCoRE.

This would be great… ie: a command to separate any groups before sending other commands.
