Setting a global piston for everywhere group with Alexa and Echo Speaks

1) Give a description of the problem
Set up a global piston that sets the volume on all of my echo dots when the everywhere group is used then returns them to previous volume (this part I’m not sure how to accomplish

2) What is the expected behavior?
When I say Alexa play music on Everywhere this piston will set volume on all echos in that group

3) What is happening/not happening?
My piston is not setting or restoring volume

I’ve found Everywhere to be balky at best in the EchoSpeaks paradigm. It was hanging my network, hanging the Echo devices… I abandoned trying to use that for the time being.
