SHM not triggering piston

1) Give a description of the problem
Piston is not capturing the SHM event any longer and it has been working for a long time without issue. This virtual switch is then used by ifttt to set motion detection on wyzecams.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
SHM change triggers virtual switch SHM Trigger

3) What is happening/not happening?
With logging on, the piston never captures the SHM change event

SHM itself stopped working several months ago now, around the time the Classic app was withdrawn.

The ‘SHM Status’ was actually the Alarm System capability of the Location and it was independent of SHM. That kept going in webCoRE, in ActionTiles (until it was sadly pulled), and indeed in any legacy app that chose to use it. I must admit I thought it was planned to be turned off around Christmas time, along with various others bits of legacy stuff, but I never actually checked. It is a ‘dead’ capability though so its days will always have been numbered.

As you will be aware, the replacement is the Location’s Security System capability, which is also known as the Security Mode and is used by STHM and has limited access.

In the SmartThings IOS application today, I can see SmartThings Home Monitor and status in the “Life” tab. This was all working last week and was setting the virtual switch properly. Additionally if I set the status to “Arm” it detects the motion outside and alerts me. With all this working in the app, i can’t see any status in the Live Logging in the IDE.
