Simulated switch doesn't fire piston

1) Give a description of the problem
My first piston will not fire when the Simulated switch turns on.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
The piston should execute when the switch turns on.

3) What is happening/not happening?
Piston never fires.

Instead of using $status, use switch.

If Switch1 switch changes to on…
