Im trying to get a piston to work. It uses an event from a door sensor (xiaomi) and Speaker (Sonos). The idea was to have a door sensor event to occur, i.e. sensor open. Then this triggers a text notification, then a voice notification (via a link to dropbox), then a SMS.
The first part of this works, the second part currently doesnt and the final part im not 100% sure on how to setup (what functions do I use?)
Any help would be great!
the last time I setup my sonos speakers were about 8 months ago so I’m not sure if there is any new development but,
1 - Mp3 URL from drop box, google drive etc doesn’t work. You need to be able to host it somewhere on the net not cloud. (tomato tomato I know, but some how that’s what it is) or you can use a spare computer to host it in a local network.
2 - Your piston will constantly loop until the window is closed - if that’s what you wanted it’s great.
3 - SMS part is as easy as the push notification.
Choose send SMS and it will ask you your message and the phone number you want to send.
I don’t have a dashboard open at the moment but I believe the command it just below where you found SEND PUSH NOTIFICATIONS…
