"Sorry, an error occured while importing the back bin"

#1

**1) My Smartthings Hub crapped out so I had to purchase a new one. I got the red backup code from each of my existing pistons associated with my original hub so that I could import from backup code with new installation of webCoRE.

2) What is the expected behavior?
I was hoping that the pistons would create easily. I used the red backup codes since I was just using for myself and I didn’t want to have to enter all of the devices, etc. that are not in the green backup code

3) What is happening/not happening?
I get the error message in the title and the piston is empty.

Are you clicking the orange button and using the red code?

I might be mistaken but the import feature is still not working and those codes are two different things. @Robin

Yes, orange button that says “Restore a piston from a backup code”. I thought that the green backup was a backup so that you could share with others but the red is also a backup that is only for you because it contains the private info on your devices. Is that wrong?

The red snapshot will restore without having to re-select your devices, but only for the same hub with the same device ID’s (different to the device names)… the best Backup code is the one behind the scratch panel on each piston page.

To recover those codes, log into the IDE, go to ‘my locations’, select your (old) location, click ‘List Smartapps’, scroll down to the webCoRE pistons and when you hover over ‘update’ for each one you’ll see the required ‘bin’ codes.

I am going to guess the problem is that I deleted old hub because it was a brick before restoring pistons to new hub. UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I at least have the image files of piston so I can re-type and I don’t have any super-complicated ones other than samples that I found on web.

Have you ever saved or posted a green snapshot for any of your pistons?

With a single code, @ady624 (and maybe @ipaterson) can help you recover the rest…
