Speak text wait between sentences

I am creating a piston that sends the speak command to my speaker. However, sometimes between sentences it seems the gap is very short. So i thought I would add a wait command. But it seems to wait doesn’t actually run after the speak command finishes, it actually runs simultaneously. So therefore, if i send a speak command that lasts 4 seconds and i want to wait 3 seconds after that then it means i need to add 4 + 3 plus the starting delay which isn’t always accurate. Is there a better way to do this?

I use Tasker to speak announcements, so I am unfamiliar with the speak command in webCoRE. That being said, try a double or triple period (with or without a space between) and a double or triple comma (with a space between).

Again, I am not sure if any of these will work, but theoretically, a comma and a period add a slight pause, so it’s worth a test.

The method that I use with Tasker is to add a special symbol, and Tasker pauses a half second each time it sees that symbol.
