STHM Entry/Exit Delay Beep

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
I’m trying to set up my STHM with a 30 second Entry/Exit Delay with beeps like your typical commercial setup. I can get the Delay via SHM Delay 2.0. However, I can’t figure out how to get the beeps. Turning to Webcore for help.

2) What is the expected behaviour?
Want to turn beeps on upon Simulated Armed Away Switch changing to on and turn beeps off upon status change STHM Armed Away.

3) What is happening/not happening?
No coding experience. Can’t get off the ground.

4) Post a Green Snapshot of the pistonimage
(UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE HERE)

5) Attach logs after turning logging level to Full
(PASTE YOUR LOGS HERE THEN HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE LOGS AND CLICK ON THE </> ICON TO FORMAT THEM CORRECTLY)

I used SHM Delay 2.0 before the ST migration and it worked pretty well. I have since written pistons that seem to fit my system well. However, there are hiccups. The developer is quite responsive to questions https://community.smartthings.com/t/release-shm-delay-version-2-0/121800. My initial jump into webcore began as a quest just like yours, to make my aging alarm system smart. In my opinion, coding pistons for alarm systems using delays and beeps is not for those new to webcore. Just programming WAITS into your pistons can become quite confusing. One would think it is quite simple. I did not find it to be straightforward. You might have a look at https://www.rboyapps.com/ apps and see if you like something there. The developer and the user community are very active here and in the ST forum.

EDIT : All of us here are very happy to help you in any way that we can.

Unfortunately, this will put you at a disadvantage when trying to write programs for complex systems like an alarm system. And you definitely want that to work correctly. If you do decide to dive into webcore, and I highly recommend it, then write some simple pistons first. Do lots of reading in this forum and play with some examples. When you gain some understanding, feel free to ask for assistance again and I am sure you will get lots of help.
