Time wrong in logs?

#1

1) Give a description of the problem
The logs appear to be using the times in the timezone of the viewer not of the hub. So when you are looking at the logs while in a different timezone, the times are all off.

#2

This is true. When I log into someone else’s hub, the time stamps are relative to my position. This can be helpful though if (for example) they told me an error happened an hour ago. I can simply scroll to that time point, without doing any math in my head.

If you really want to see the time for the hub, you can manually log to console something like:

temp

This will write the time as seen from the hubs point of view.

#3

Yes, I do that for Piston Status. But that is limited time info vs the many times of the logs.

#4

An alternative, is using a program like TeamViewer to log into the other desktop, and view your pistons that way. All of the time stamps will be in sync with the hub.

#5

That requires me to have on always-on PC?

#6

Not necessarily, but if the distant PC is off, you will not be able to log in.
(the hub will keep working regardless)

#7

I have not tried it if TV does wake on lan?

#8

According to their website:

Macs can only be woken up from sleep mode. Windows and Linux PCs, however, can be woken up from sleep and hibernation mode as well as being fully powered down, so long as the hardware supports this.
