Is there a way to differentiate an on/off from something automated or from an app vs physically interacting with the switch on the wall? I have GE switched mostly. I have a piston for my bedroom for example. I can walk in and hit the switch on the wall and the nightstand bulbs will turn on/off. But if I turn the same light on/off from the app on my phone the nightstands also turn on/off. I’d like to separate the two.
Trigger on physical interaction only

There sure is. One of the options on a trigger If is the “Which interaction” drop-down. It defaults to “any” but you can set it for “physical” or “programmatic”.

Even though webCoRE has that capability, it is important to note that 99% of devices do not differentiate between the two. The general rule of thumb is to use “any” unless your devices have that capability.

Be aware that the physical/programmatic reporting by devices is not very reliable so somethings might not work like you expect it to.

I have my piston set to “switch physically changes to” on or off and I’m still getting undesired behavior. Is this just the best I’m going to be able to do?
