Trigger Philips Hue Scenes

#1

I’m trying to come up with the best way to trigger pre set scenes within Philips Hue, I’m new to SmartThings and WebCORE so apologies if this seems simple.

Basically I want to be able to trigger (either from a press of some switch or ideally from Alexa) different Hue Scenes that I’ve already created within Philips Hue.

Something like ‘Alexa turn on Movie Mode in the living room’ and a series of actions will happen and as well as all the lights turning to their predetermined scene.

Would I need to manually add each bulbs colour, brightness etc into the piston, or can I make the piston just trigger the scene thats already in the Hue app?

Here is what I did… I replaced the official Hue Connect app with Hue B Smart:

You have to completely remove Hue from Smartthings then you’re able to install Hue B Smart. This smart app along with the DTH allows you to have virtual momentary buttons for all of the scenes you have on your Hue hub/app. You then can allow webCoRE to press those buttons.

Thanks, so this doesn’t replace the official Hue App, it just replaces the Hue App within Smartthings?

Then I can add ‘Scene Name’ to a piston and have WebCORE activate it.

Correct. You’ll have the Hue app from Phillips on your iPhone or Android. This replaces the Hue Connect Smart App within Smartthings. You’ll have to remove each Hue bulb, then you’'ll be able to remove the smartapp from the Automation tab in the Smartthings app.

Hue B Smart works perfectly for me. Im also new and it was easy to configure. You get all the 1 button actions you want.

And can add this for switches and motion/temperature:

In the Alexa app there is a section for creating Routines. Can you not just set this up in there?
