Turn off Halloween blowups in high wind

#22

I feel like the Weather Channel with the amount of weather devices I am loading :stuck_out_tongue:

#23

i have 3 accuweather connects, 3 smart weather station tile 2.0 and sometimes even use $weather. :stuck_out_tongue:

#24

if you issue a accuweather refresh() does that update the weather data?

#25

Here is one that I use for my motion lights and motion outside. Windy Switch is a virtual switch that I use in many pistons

#26

Thanks for all the great replies! Should I see logging daily from my piston doing the checking? I have the log set to FULL but only see logs if I run a test but it says the piston is running…

#27

If you use mine it should log everytime the wind changes

#28

Strange I am testing with the SmartWeather Station Tile 2.0 but doesnt seem to pull updated info. Seems all the weather apps i have need to be manually refreshed to trigger WebCoRE

#29

this is from accuweather and the next one is from smartweather tile 2.0. both seem to publish wind events so wC should be receiving them as well.

#30

I use an app called pollster that I have been using for years and have no issues

#31

So I see it updating on the smartthings side but I am not seeing it log in WebCoRE, what could i be doing wrong?

#32

It looks like it’s updating windinfo… what about wind?

#33

I just thought per the webcore code it should be updating the webcore piston log everytime wind changes but the log is still sitting at 7:33pm from last night when I manually did it…

I don’t have the weathertile2.0 installed anymore so I can’t check. My old school weathertile is updating, though I’m running into a semaphore wait every so often.

I added this auto-refresh on the first part of the piston to force an update.

Well after setting up Rboy weather refresh app I am getting logging. Still not sure why it wasnt doing it before on its own. I need to figure out how to add the refresh function into the pistons myself when i get some time. Still learning. Luckily today is a windy day so lots of time to test.

Replaced Rboy’s app because it has some Android bug with a separate Webcore piston that refreshes all weather tiles like eibyer suggested above. The whole design is working well.
