Turning on a light with contact sensor

I have a contact sensor on the front door with a motion sensor just inside.
I would like to turn on light A when I entre and light B when I leave
I tried this for light A It does not work Light B goes on
Front door sensors contact changes to open
and
Notion sensor motion is inactive
Is it because as soon as the door starts to swing open the sensor is activated to fast for webcore to see it as inactive

For light B
Front door sensors contact changes to open
and
Motion sensor motion is active
This one works

can you please share the piston that is not working? sometimes it’s hard to understand by description only.

Probably.

I would try with a motion sensor at least 10 feet from the door.
(one that you have to walk past to get to the door, but one that does not trigger when the door opens)

Alternatively, if your motion sensor is based on heat (instead of movement), then you can place it on the inside of the door, facing away from the door. It will see you approach (on the way out), but will not see when you return until the door is closing or closed.

Thats a good idea WCmore. I dont think the one I have is heat sensivtive but Ill look for a replacement
