Use device status to control home/away mode in ring doorbell

Is it possible to use my cellphone with smartthings to change the home/away status in my ring doorbell? I created a piston but it doesn’t seem to be working

Your logic looks solid… but just to clarify:
That command changes “Location mode” in SmartThings, not Ring.

You can see & edit these options by going to the:
IDE > Locations > Home > Modes

Pro Tip:

Any command listed under (non-device) is generic, and typically stays within SmartThings.

To see what commands your “Front Door” accepts, look under the section:

You can also see / edit / change modes in the ST app > dashboard > More Options (3 dots in the upper right of the screen) > Manage location.

But you can’t create new modes in the app so you need IDE to do that. :slight_smile:
