Using SHM current state in SMS

Is it possible to get and use the SHM current state in a Push or SMS message.

I’m trying to use something like: SHM current state is {[$currentDeviceEvent:status]}

But not having any luck. Thoughts?

Super simple, but allows me to know when the Alarm is changed outside by Home Alarm Piston

You can also use {$location} to get an update on the location mode (if people are in the house or not)
