If you are using chrome, try using an incognito tab to login to IDE.

#3

Thank you very much that worked. Any explanation you have?

#4

No explanation. I just saw others having the same issue recently and that was the way they resolved it.

#5

Thanks again.

This IDE issue has been intermittent for weeks!! Some days it works, others it doesn’t!!

I have been unable to create simulated switches for the past 5+ days now.
I opened up a ticket, and within 24 hours, THEY created my device for me.

I have tried on 2 computers, and 4 different browsers, but to no avail.
(although I have not tried incognito yet)

Just wanted to say that I was able to create one using Chrome on Android.

Hopefully they resolve this quickly. I tend to use Alexa to control many things
around my house, so end up creating 5-6 simulated switched a month, easy.

thanks for posting this. I’ve been having issues also and back burnered it for the time being.

It is so useful to be able to tell Alexa to run a specific piston.
Those ‘Simulated Switches’ are the best thing since sliced bread!

Alexa, turn on movie night
Alexa, turn on quick light
Alexa, turn on reset
etc…

The 2nd one is handy when I’m trying to find something, and I want ALL the lights on full brightness, but I also want them to automatically return to their previous settings after a couple of minutes.

The 3rd one is handy when the power or internet spikes, and everything is all wonky.
One voice command, and all my devices get reset to the proper position/color etc.

I had the same trouble today creating a virtual switch in Firefox in a normal window. But it worked when I opened the IDE in a FF Private Window.
