Thanks @KiloWatts!

Alex and I think that webCoRE is amazing and we’re keeping a close eye on it as it and its Community evolves.

Directing folks to our Feedback Forum Topic is a great way to ensure we get a good understanding of the level of interest and the most important needs of webCoRE users and ActionTiles Customers … and how it can drive critical growth in sales of ActionTiles.

I voted. Right now, WebCoRE is the most important tool in my “SmartThings toolbox.” Ask Alexa is also indispensable because it can be used to fire WebCoRE pistons. The thing I’d like most is the ability to update a variable in WebCoRE and have that variable’s value displayed on an AT tile. It would solve a big problem we have in our house and that’s figuring out if someone fed the dog. Or did everyone feed the (inexplicably fat) dog?

A possible use case would be for someone to tell Ask Alexa to “Tell SmartThings I fed the dog.” Ask Alexa then fires a WebCoRE piston that updates a variable with the time the command was issued and AT would then update a tile titled “Dog Last Fed” with the time. When someone comes home, they know when the dog was last fed and wouldn’t give her more food if she was recently fed. There’s endless possibilities for this type of use case. Things like “gave grandma her medication,” watered the plants, put the laundry in the washer, etc.

WebCoRE is INCREDIBLY powerful, Ask Alexa provides virtually unlimited opportunities for voice interaction with WebCoRE, and AT provides a very nice, comprehensive view into the state of things. It would be great to see AT more integrated with WebCoRE. And if the use cases I described are already doable, let me know. I’m brand new to AT so maybe this capability already exists and I’m just not aware of it. And I know you can do much of what I described with the WebCoRE dashboard and there’s more coming from the Minions, but right now we rely on ActionTiles so more integration would be great.

Voted! I’m just getting started in WebCoRE but I’m already using ActionTiles. It would be nice for them to easily work together.
