Watch/Test Variables?

I have a Samsung Water sensor that I’d like to create a piston for and test. Is there a way to test it and make sure the piston works without actually having someone pour some water on the floor? For example, can I force the piston to see the device having a state of Wet even if it isn’t actually experiencing that state?

  • Log into the IDE
  • go to ‘my devices’
  • Click ‘+ New Device’
  • Give it a Name and random Network ID
  • give it ‘type’ ‘simulated water sensor’
  • select your location and hub
  • click create
  • go into the webcore smartapp app on mobile and add your new device to the webCoRE permissions
  • test your piston with the simulated device
  • you are now nice and dry :smile:
