Water Sensor and email notifications

#1

Hi All,

I’m slowly learning the new webcoRE features, but wanted to get some input for those with more experience. I have numerous water sensors that I want to have email to multiple email addresses once activated by water. I’ve entered separate lines for each email (the action) and I am getting double emails being sent. Any suggestion on this? I tried to list multiple emails in one line separated by “,” or “;” (e.g., [email protected]; [email protected]) but that didn’t work. Also, do you recommend that I make one piston per sensor, or is there a way to make a giant piston that takes in account when any of the water sensors detect water? I’m not sure if that is the best way, as I will have a custom email detailing which sensor it is from each sensor. The final action will be for the any of the sensors to cause the water main to be shut off remotely. Just trying to figure out the best way to program this, as I was apt to just make one piston per sensor. Thanks for any input you have.

Post a green camera button snapshot of the piston and any logs you might have

Just one request please, try to not send rogue emails (rapid series of emails). Emails are quite the commodity with hosted servers these days.

I believe I figured out the dual emails - it probably was re-contact with water that did it…no rapid series…

I see that you’ve fixed your email issue, but it may be of interest to see the piston I used for my water sensor alerts:
