WeBCoRE Installation/Update question

#1

Hi All!

I’m in awe! I just learned of the dedicated WebCoRE forums! I’m now like a kid in a candy store trying to catch up! Congratulations to @ady624 and the WebCoRE team!

I do have a quick question regarding my install of WebCoRE:

I had initially installed WebCoRE when it was first in beta. At the time, there was the WebCoRE and the WebCoRE piston that gets installed. Overtime, the SmartApp gained the Dashboard and Storage SmartApps. I simply, using GitHub integration, choose the Dashboard and the Storage under “New” at the same time I selected the update for the WebCoRE main and Piston smart app, published and updated.

My question is, do I need to remove the WebCoRE installation instance and reinstall it in my smartthings app since the storage and dashboard smartapps weren’t present during the initial installation? Or will the smart app automatically make use of the child apps once I installed them from the IDE?

Thanks in advance!

The installation instructions say to install webCoRE app first and then the other 3.
I would assume you would be OK.
If you haven’t got any pistons defined then it would be easy to delete and start again.
Up to you I suppose.

I’m pretty sure they aren’t like hard required. But you should have them. So your install should just make use of them being there now.

Ok, great! I did already have a bunch of pistons installed. Granted I could back it up and start over doing a restore but I’d rather not! I haven’t seen any errors so I’m guessing all is ok!

Thanks for the responses!
